“What will our session be like?”

My main focus is to make sure your kids are happy and comfortable to be photographed. There will be a different set of photos.

1. Traditional, all are looking at the camera

2. Candids and movement together as a family

3. Portraits of your little one alone, and if your little one is up for it, then portraits with parents separately. 

How do I prep the kids for our photo session?

If your child is young, about a week or so before the session, start bringing it up in conversation. You can refer to me as Viv, Ms. Viv, or Ms. Photographer Lady. :) Have a fun ice cream date after our session is always a big hit. Just make sure you let the kids know we're going to have fun! 

If you have teens: Have them be a part of the process. Plan ahead, and even ask them for some location ideas.

Don't stress: if your kids are nervous or acting a little wild, that's ok! I embrace children in every aspect of themselves. 

Bring snacks, water, a blanket, jackets/cardigans if it's cold. Make sure the snack isn't sticky or something that could stain hands or clothes. Also, bring an extra change of clothes just in case. 

We booked a mini-session. What should we expect?

Since these sessions are short and sweet, it's crucial to have a game plan of what you are hoping for with these images. Are these for holiday card photos? If so, what type of images will you need? Do you need a group shot of everyone? Individual shots? You with each kiddo? Coming up with a game plan is everything to ensure that the resulting images are everything you could have asked for and more!
