Hey friends, I’m back! I took some time off from blogging, and I’m back! Next up, we have L+M beautiful August wedding at Whitby Castle, located in Rye, New York. Whitby Castle is located at 330 Boston Post Road in Rye, New York. The castle mirrors the architectural features of the historic Whitby Abbey in England, incorporating authentic Abbey stones. On 126 acres, this venue provides a tranquil escape, an impressive ballroom, and two exclusive reception spaces.

L. chose two locations to get ready- her mother’s home and Whitby Castle’s bridal suite- which are beautifully lit and spacious. M chose the groom’s suite to get ready with his sons.

FIRST LOOK

Soon after getting ready, L. and M. began their way to the grassy area at Whitby Castle for a private first look.

PORTRAITS

They chose to get married in August, and if you don’t remember the summer of 2023, it rained almost every weekend in New York. Actually, my first wedding for the season was in March, with torrential downpours. When I saw clear skies for L+M, I was so excited for them since the backdrop of the castle and incorporating other elements from the property were important for their portraits.
